Arcana took root in founder Ashley Alexander’s backyard. Driven to seek a new path, she graduated with a degree in Horticulture in 2021. The original intent was to start an urban farm. This quickly morphed when she started working in a greenhouse, and then for Water Bear Bar in downtown Boise. The therapeutic benefits of indoor plants called to her. Together with her husband, Ryan, they ventured into a new phase: helping others create spaces full of vitality.

Quality of life is paramount in their goals - from pollinator habitat in the garden to enriching spaces custom built for their beloved cats. They believe our homes should take into account the practicalities of life while nurturing the mind and spirit. This is our journey, our experience, our perspective. We are always in progress, always open to uncovering what has been kept hidden.
